8 months old!

Here are some new pictures of Alex on a wild hair day! He is already 8 months old, and life gets more and more exciting every day! Alex is getting very interested in feeding himself, so we are going to start trying out some finger foods. He has pretty much mastered sitting up by himself and he is a pro at rolling across the floor repeatedly. He is now trying to crawl - he pulls his knees up under himself and scoots but he does not quite know what to do with his arms yet so that he can push himself up off the ground. He is enjoying being out and about more and more - he smiles at just about everybody now. However, he enjoys strangers from a distance, meaning that he loves them until they pick him up! He also says DaDa, BaBa, and LaLa now although DaDa seems to be his favorite thing to say (I think that is because of the excited reaction he gets out of us whenever he says it). We are working on MaMa but he has not quite figured that one out yet. Alex also enjoys imitating us now, which is pretty darn cute. He is at such a fun age right now...we are really enjoying it! Oh, and he also has a tooth coming in. It has just broken the surface and is very sharp. Well, that's about it for now! I will try to get a video loaded of his new thing to do...growling.
