Bye-Bye Tonsils for Alex, Hello Smiles from Addie

Life continues to be busy as ever at our house!  Sarah's parents were here for a few days last month and we celebrated Alex's birthday then along with Sarah's Dad's birthday.  Sarah's mom and dad painted Alex's room a very nice bright blue and the room looks so much livelier!  Alex had his tonsils and adenoids removed last week which was a much needed surgery because he has been suffering from sleep apnea.  The doctor said his adenoids were as big as his thumb which is gigantic for a 2 year old.  He is recovering well from the surgery and sleeping much more soundly these days though he is unfortunately still in a lot of pain.  He should be much better by this weekend hopefully.  Thank you to everyone who sent him a birthday present - he is definitely enjoying all of his new clothes and toys!

Addison is still doing very well.  She is such a happy baby, and she smiles a lot now.  She loves tummy time and is developing some strong neck muscles.  Alex is getting very interested in her and we are trying to involve him in caring for Addie as much as possible.  Addie has her 2 month well child check next week, and it will be interesting to see where she is on the growth charts since she already fits into 6 month clothes!!!  She is very long and getting chubby too which is sooooo cute!  Sarah must make some high calorie breast milk!

Pat's new job is going well.  He has been covering for an employee on vacation for the past couple of weeks and this week is learning more about his position.  School is extremely busy for Pat, and we are all looking forward to his upcoming graduation in the spring.

Sarah will be returning to work next week.  It will be hard to leave the kids after being home with them all day for so long...but we have to keep paying the bills somehow!!!  As far as her injuries, the walking boot is gone and she can walk (somewhat) normally now.  She still has quite a limp which will probably be there for a while.

That's pretty much it!  Hope you are all enjoying the fall!!!
